Behavioral Health Clinical Educator

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Develops and implements training programs to educate staff on behavioral health practices and procedures.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
• Conducts assessments to evaluate staff competency and identify areas for improvement.
• Aids staff in the use of learning management systems.
• Maintains accurate records of training activities and employee progress.
• Stays up-to-date with current research and best practices in behavioral health to ensure training programs are evidence-based.

Education Requirement

Master’s degree from an accredited university in Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work, or; Doctoral degree from an accredited university or professional school in Psychology, required.

Licensure Requirement

Appropriate Independent Ohio licensure, required.

Experience

Demonstrated two years of skills or knowledge of the provision of evidence-supported behavioral health care to children and families, required.

• Strong interpersonal skills, adept at collaboration, and ability to relate effectively with Behavioral Health services staff and a variety of hospital departmental personnel and physicians.
• Able to effectively organize and facilitate meetings to produce high quality educational offerings.
• Demonstrated high levels of initiative, clinical decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Able to use sound judgment and ethical decision-making.
