Behavioral Health Case Manager - Zero Suicide

About the role

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Support Worker for the Zero Suicide Project in Bethel, Alaska. This position involves providing support in implementing the Zero Suicide Project, assisting with training related to suicide prevention, and offering case management and Calricaraq/qaruyun counseling to individuals at risk.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the Zero Suicide Project in communities throughout the YK Delta region.
• Assist in planning and coordinating trainings related to suicide prevention.
• Provide case management and Calricaraq/qaruyun counseling for individuals identified at risk through this project.
• Collaborate with Village Tribal Council, BH Staff, Schools, and other social service agencies.
• Complete required documentation related to the project.
• Travel in small planes as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• RHS certification preferred.
• Behavioral Health Aide or Chemical Dependency counselor certification preferred.
• Experience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Alaskan Native cultures.
• Yupi’k speaker preferred.
• Knowledgeable in basic computer skills for basic entry necessary.
