About the Role

Under the supervision of the registered nurse, assist in the individualized care of the patient directed toward achieving the patient's highest level of physical and mental wellness. Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to nursing care. Assists in unit operational support tasks or duties. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing individualized patient care to achieve physical and mental wellness.
  • Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to nursing care.
  • Assist in unit operational support tasks or duties.

Requirements

  • Preferred successful completion of a High School Diploma and/or Nurse Assistant training course.
  • Preferred licensure as a Nurse Assistant.
  • Preferred experience in Behavioral Health, Psych, or as a Direct Support Professional.

Physical Demands

  • Minimal: Lift floor to waist height of less than 30 lbs (horizontally) and less than 40 lbs force, balance.
  • Frequent: Hand coordination, data entry.
