Behavioral Health Assessor PRN
About the role
The Behavioral Health Assessor provides assessments for patients in the Advocate Emergency Department, Nursing Departments, Advocate Behavioral Health and Polk Medical Center. The Assessor provides a clean, safe, and quiet environment in support of the patient's comfort and contentment and performs duties associated with the assessment process, while collaborating with the psychiatrists, ED physicians, Hospitalist, and Medical Service physicians to determine treatment recommendations and patient disposition.
Responsibilities
- Provides assessments for patients in various departments
- Ensures a clean, safe, and quiet environment for patients
- Collaborates with medical staff and other hospital staff to determine treatment recommendations and patient disposition
- Works closely with the medical staff and other hospital staff to support the care of adult, child, adolescent, and geriatric patients
Requirements
- Graduate from a Master's level program in counseling, psychology, social work or related field
- Experience in related field, two years of behavioral health counseling, and evidence of continuing professional development preferred
Qualifications
- Applicable state licensure encouraged (LCP, LCSW, or LPC eligible)

Pay
Pay Range: $26.55 - $39.85
Schedule
PRN schedule is variable and requires flexibility to cover 12-hour shifts, including both 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM start times.
