About the role

The Behavioral Associate is responsible for providing constant supervision and oversight of patients with diverse mental, emotional or developmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant supervision and oversight of patients with diverse mental, emotional or developmental conditions.
• Teach new emotional and behavioral skills in a fun and interactive way.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, and nurse practitioners.
• Engage with children of all ages who are struggling with various issues such as depression, anxiety, suicide, self-control, and trauma.

Requirements

• BCLS certification
• CPI certification
• Basic Life Support
• Educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: None specifically required, but involvement in the day-to-day care and decision making for kids and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Equivalent qualifications for BCLS and CPI certifications
• Equivalent qualifications for high school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• Hands-on disengagement and engagement skills
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
