Job Overview
Roles And Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation of the behavior plans for students
- Participates in on-going training in highly specialized strategies and interventions for implementing individualized behavior plans under the direction of staff
- Uses training to take appropriate actions to deal with recurring behavioral situations with the supervision of the teacher
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED supplemented by course work in child development or a related field
- Experience working with students with behavioral challenges on the autism spectrum, emotional/behavioral disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or other developmental disabilities
- Licenses and Certifications: Knowledge, abilities, and skills to effectively manage the behaviors of children with behavioral and learning challenges

- The employee must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- The employee must possess normal cognitive abilities including the ability to learn, recall and apply certain practices and policies.
- Work requires frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time; exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and negligible amounts of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
