ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the facility’s philosophy of care and striving to achieve its goals and objectives.
- Greeting new residents to the facility and orienting them to the building and staff.
- Making regular rounds during scheduled shifts to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Aiding residents going to workshops and special community outings with arrival and departure, ensuring proper hygiene, medications, and clothing.
- Staying current on facility policies and procedures on behavioral emergencies and being trained in crisis management and diffusing a potentially volatile situation, especially concerning aggressive/agitated behavior.
- Maintaining knowledge of current goals/objectives that each resident is working on and encouraging the resident to do so.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma.
