Behavior technician or RBT after school center based

Responsibilities

• Direct Client Support
• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans created by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills.
• Use reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors.
• Implement behavior-reduction plans to address challenging behaviors.
• Collect accurate, real-time data on client progress.
• Prepare materials needed for therapy sessions.
• Maintain detailed session notes and documentation according to company and insurance standards.
• Track skill acquisition and behavior trends using data-collection software.
• Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs about client progress and challenges.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Provide feedback to caregivers when appropriate and under BCBA guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an ABA program or equivalent coursework.
• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Passionate about helping children and families.
• Knowledge of ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Proficiency in data collection and documentation software.
