Responsibilities
- Direct Client Support
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans created by a BCBA.
- Teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills.
- Use reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors.
- Implement behavior-reduction plans to address challenging behaviors.
- Collect accurate, real-time data on client progress.
- Prepare materials needed for therapy sessions.
- Maintain detailed session notes and documentation according to company and insurance standards.
- Track skill acquisition and behavior trends using data-collection software.
- Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs about client progress and challenges.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
- Provide feedback to caregivers when appropriate and under BCBA guidance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an ABA program or equivalent coursework.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Passionate about helping children and families.
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Proficiency in data collection and documentation software.
