Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, services range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses.

About the role

The Behavior Health Technician assists counselors, therapeutic, and nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse, mental health services, or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs, and/or community-based programs.

  • Establish a positive helping relationship with people receiving services.
  • Assist those receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of those receiving services.
  • Implement specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
  • Monitor and document the person’s progress.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
  • Must be able to pass provided CPI training.
  • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Pay

Base pay ranges from $15.00 - $16.12 an hour. Salary is based on experience.
