About the role

Autism Learning Partners is seeking individuals who have 6+ months of paid or volunteer experience working with children to join our team. This role supports children and teens with autism, offering a fulfilling career path.

Responsibilities

  • Help Kids Learn Through Play: Teach new skills like communication, sharing, or following directions through fun games or activities.
  • Be a Positive Role Model: Encourage progress and celebrate small victories every day.
  • Stay Active: Move around, play, and engage during sessions.
  • Keep Things Organized: Track work done and progress made with clients.
  • Support Families: Work as part of a team helping families see real progress and hope.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED completed and at least one semester of college coursework (or currently enrolled in college courses).
  • 6+ months of experience with kids (paid or volunteer — babysitting counts!)
  • Reliable car, driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Willingness to pass background and health checks.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • A big heart, patience, and the ability to keep up with energetic kiddos.

Qualifications

Pay

$21-$28/hr

Schedule

  • Part-Time (Up to 20 hours): Available all weekdays Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm OR All weekdays Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm.
  • Full-Time: Availability required all weekdays Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 8pm OR All weekdays Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm. Sessions will be scheduled within this timeframe based on client needs.
