About the Role

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll play a meaningful role in implementing behavioral health and educational services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with individuals diagnosed with autism, related mental health disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities in either a 1:1, 1:2, or small group setting. This is a full-time, hourly position involving direct interaction with individuals, including crisis intervention for issues such as self-injury, aggression, and high-magnitude disruptive behavior.

You will receive supervision and training from behavior analytic and/or behavioral health supervisors through direct observation and team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral health and educational services using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Work in 1:1, 1:2, or small group settings with individuals diagnosed with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral health conditions.
• Provide crisis intervention for behaviors including self-injury, aggression, and disruptive behavior.
• Participate in direct observation and team meetings for supervision and training.
• Document and communicate progress and observations effectively.
• Use tools and equipment as required, including pushing/pulling wheelchairs and lifting individuals with hoyer lifts.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance. No more than 5 points on license.

Qualifications

• First Aid, CPR (adult, child, and infant), and delegated nursing certification.
• Detail-oriented with competent literacy, writing, documentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Three years of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral health conditions.
• Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• College Degree in a related field.
