About the role

At the Hope Network Center for Autism, we support each other, join each other on life’s journey, and have each other’s backs. As a Behavior Technician, you will change lives—including your own—by providing one-on-one direct care with learners ages 18 months to 21 years. You’ll teach independent daily living skills for a higher quality of life in a primarily center-based setting, with opportunities for home or community-based sessions based on the treatment plan.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one direct care to learners while teaching independent daily living skills.
  • Collect and record data on learners’ behavior for skill acquisition and distressed behavior reduction goals.
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members, including learners’ families.
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Follow individualized behavior programming.
  • Adhere to diet, supplementation, and medication protocols per prescription/parent instructions.
  • Complete documentation and billing both timely and accurately.

Training

Hope Network offers a unique, hands-on training experience designed to enhance a technician’s ability to offer high-quality services from the start. New Behavior Technicians receive individualized one-on-one training guided by a qualified trainer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid state of Michigan driver’s license.
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Experience in healthcare, mental health, behavioral health, childcare, or residential settings (preferred).
  • Professionalism in communication, attention to accuracy, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • Reliability and punctuality, as attendance is essential in providing excellent services to learners.

Pay

  • Starting pay rate of $17.00/hour and up, commensurate with ABA experience.
  • Additional wage increase for active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification.
  • Additional wage increase for bilingual/multilingual candidates.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday treatment hours.
