About the Role
The position involves providing in-home ABA therapy to children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Working closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the therapist implements individualized behavior reduction and skill acquisition plans, ensuring a safe and positive environment during sessions. The role emphasizes making a meaningful impact on clients' development and fostering positive behavior change.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision
- Deliver 1-on-1 in-home ABA therapy sessions
- Monitor and report client progress through data collection
- Ensure client safety and positive environment during sessions
- Collaborate with BCBA for supervision and skill development
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in ABA therapy or related settings
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain within 3 weeks
- Completion of the 40-hour RBT course or willingness to take it
- Effective communication in English
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and rapport-building skills
- Ability to work flexibly and handle confidential information
- Experience working with children or adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities (2+ years preferred)
