About the role

The Little Falls Community School District is excited to announce openings for 6.5-hour Behavior Support Paraprofessionals. This role supports students requiring additional behavioral, social-emotional, and academic support. You will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other team members to implement behavior support strategies, foster positive student relationships, and create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior support strategies as part of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS).
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other team members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs).
  • Foster positive student relationships through consistent and positive interactions.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students who require additional behavioral, social-emotional, and academic support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of behavior support strategies and interventions.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Benefits

Starting rate of pay: $19.56 per hour, in accordance with the Student Support Staff Master Agreement.
