Behavior Support Manager

National non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. Behavior Support Manager role in Pittsburgh, PA.

About the role

Uses best practices and technologies within a community setting to assist individuals with acquiring, retaining, improving, and generalizing the behavioral, self-help, socialization, relational, and communication skills needed to enhance relationships, increase independence, and functioning. Starting pay is $70,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavioral support interventions and activities based on individual needs and ongoing assessment; frequency and duration may decrease or vary throughout the stay
• Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) – Functional Behavioral Assessment and development of a Behavioral Support Plan
• Supervise RBT/Behavior Support Specialist staff as needed
• Implement the individualized Behavior Support Plan
• Provide Positive Behavioral Supports
• Provide coordinated support with program staff and participate as part of the clinical team
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Requirements

• Master’s level Board Certified Behavioral Analyst or sitting for the exam within 6 months
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with the youth and their families
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
