What You Will Do

Under direction, you will provide various behavioral interventions and rehabilitative services in individual and/or group settings. Your responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating behavior modification and skill building
  • Coaching participants on effective skills and coping strategies
  • Collaborating with other Fred Finch Youth and Family Services/CARES (FF) programs and other social service providers
  • Performing related duties as assigned

You will demonstrate therapeutic understanding and respect for all participants, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, economic background, country of origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or education level.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field. High School Diploma or GED for positions at CARES.
  • Experience: One year of progressively responsible experience providing related services in individual and/or group settings may be considered equivalent to one year of post-secondary education, with four years considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid California Driver’s License, satisfactory driving record, and properly registered and insured vehicle. Possession of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification issued by the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board, to be maintained throughout employment for positions at CARES.
