What You Will Contribute To The Team
As a Behavioral Specialist, you will serve on a clinical interdisciplinary team to represent and advocate for each participant's behavioral health needs. You will be responsible for:
- Serving as a member of a clinical interdisciplinary team.
- Oversight of a caseload of participants.
- Ensuring proper documentation.
- Delivering effective behavioral health interventions.
- Conducting thorough behavioral health assessments.
- Developing care plans.
- Providing counseling, symptom management, crisis intervention, and arranging necessary services.
- Training staff on behavioral health symptoms and interventions to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work).
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other relevant behavioral therapies.
- Knowledge and ability to apply appropriate safety precautions and procedures in behavioral interventions.
- 1-3 years of experience working with individuals in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills to ensure compliance with care plans and regulations.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a MHRC (Mental Health Rehabilitation Center) environment.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or other electronic medical record systems.
- Additional certifications in behavioral health or therapeutic interventions.
