About the role
We are now hiring a Behavioral Specialist to join our dynamic team!
Responsibilities
- Serve on a clinical interdisciplinary team to represent and advocate for each participant's behavioral health needs.
- Oversee a caseload of participants, ensuring proper documentation, and delivering effective behavioral health interventions.
- Conduct thorough behavioral health assessments, develop care plans, and provide counseling, symptom management, crisis intervention, and arrange necessary services.
- Train staff on behavioral health symptoms and interventions to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work).
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other relevant behavioral therapies.
- Knowledge and ability to apply appropriate safety precautions and procedures in behavioral interventions.
- 1-3 years of experience working with individuals in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills to ensure compliance with care plans and regulations.
Qualifications
- Nice to have experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or other electronic medical record systems.
- Additional certifications in behavioral health or therapeutic interventions.
