Behavior Specialist

About the role

• Participate in the development and implementation of Behavior Support Plans
• Collect and analyze data on the effectiveness of Behavior Support Plans
• Adjust or revise support strategies as needed
• Monitor and train staff and caregivers on implementation strategies
• Submit required documentation to Behavior Consultants
• Travel as needed (20–50 mile radius)

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel a 20–50 mile radius
• Availability to work day and weekend shifts
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify, develop, and execute effective training methods
• Compliance with state background check requirements
