Help at Home is seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the role
As a Behavior Specialist, you will participate in developing and implementing Behavior Support Plans, evaluate their effectiveness, and help adjust support strategies. You will also train staff and caregivers on implementation methods and provide required documentation to Behavior Consultants. This role requires travel within a 20–50 mile radius, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized Behavior Support Plans.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of Behavior Support Plans.
- Adjust or revise support strategies based on collected data and individual needs.
- Train staff and caregivers on support strategies and monitor their implementation.
- Submit required documentation to Behavior Consultants.
- Travel within the service area as needed to support individuals, staff, and caregivers.
