Behavior Resource Assistant - Alternative Education Program

About the Role
Provides behavior support for students and promotes positive behaviors. May work in a focus room setting or primarily with specific students with heightened behavior issues, including students who are verbally abusive, present a risk of physical harm to themselves or others, or have outbursts involving throwing objects or damaging property. This position differs from Structured Support-SEA in that this employee works with the general population rather than in a self-contained special education class setting.
Responsibilities
- Support students with behavior challenges to promote positive behaviors.
- Work in a focus room or directly with students exhibiting heightened behavior issues.
- Address behaviors such as verbal abuse, risk of physical harm, or destructive outbursts.
