Behavior Interventionist - Santa Monica - Paid Training Provided

Responsibilities

• Carry out one-on-one direct ABA therapy sessions in school or home environments
• Aid clients in their daily academic and living tasks
• Instruct adaptive play, self-care, cognitive, social, and communication skills
• Promote desired behaviors through positive reinforcement
• Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress
• Create a safe, supportive environment conducive to growth
• Advocate for individuals with disabilities in various settings
• Maintain high ethical standards in all interactions

Requirements

• Holds a valid US work authorization
• Passes a criminal background check
• Has a negative TB test result
• Has reliable computer and internet access daily
• Has reliable transportation, CA driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and willingness to drive throughout LA area
• Shows interest and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents
• Displays patience and empathy towards challenging behaviors
• Adheres to IABA’s positive-only method and mission
• Is reliable and committed to daily client support
• Can lift up to 45 pounds, walk, run, bend, squat, kneel, sit, and play on the floor, stand for long periods, and engage in fast-paced physical activities with children and teens
• Willingness to work with clients of all ages, behaviors, and support needs
