About the role
The Milton Town School District seeks a school-wide Behavior Interventionist for Milton High School. The ideal candidate will support students in maintaining academic focus while fostering social-emotional resilience through effective behavior management and restorative practices.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers, school counselors, school clinicians, and the behavior staff to support student needs.
- Implement evidence-based strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address behavioral issues and promote positive social skills.
- Collaborate with families to develop home-school partnerships that support student success.
- Assess and document student progress to inform interventions and adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective behavior management and restorative practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
Skills
