Behavior Interventionist

About the role

The Milton Town School District seeks a school-wide Behavior Interventionist for Milton High School. The ideal candidate will support students in maintaining academic focus while fostering social-emotional resilience through effective behavior management and restorative practices.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers, school counselors, school clinicians, and the behavior staff to support student needs.
• Implement evidence-based strategies to improve student behavior and academic performance.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address behavioral issues and promote positive social skills.
• Collaborate with families to develop home-school partnerships that support student success.
• Assess and document student progress to inform interventions and adjust strategies as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective behavior management and restorative practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data collection and analysis.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
