About the role

The Behavior Technician assists individuals, groups, and systems through the application of positive behavior supports, equity, and restorative practices.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavioral strategies inside and outside the classroom.
  • Collaborate with staff members to develop a positive climate.
  • Take initiative in building a proactive positive climate in the school.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proficient in data entry in multiple systems.
  • Knowledgeable in implementing Positive Behavioral Practices.
  • Exceptional knowledge in the use of technology.
  • Ability to plan and evaluate strategies for improving behavior under supervision.

Requirements

  • Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in defining and measuring behavior.
  • Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in understanding principles of reinforcement.
  • Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in teaching new behavior.
  • Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in implementing strategies for weakening behavior.
  • Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in identifying antecedents.
