About the role
The Behavior Technician assists individuals, groups, and systems through the application of positive behavior supports, equity, and restorative practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavioral strategies inside and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with staff members to develop a positive climate.
- Take initiative in building a proactive positive climate in the school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proficient in data entry in multiple systems.
- Knowledgeable in implementing Positive Behavioral Practices.
- Exceptional knowledge in the use of technology.
- Ability to plan and evaluate strategies for improving behavior under supervision.
Requirements
- Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in defining and measuring behavior.
- Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in understanding principles of reinforcement.
- Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in teaching new behavior.
- Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in implementing strategies for weakening behavior.
- Under the supervision of the Administration, assist staff in identifying antecedents.
