Responsibilities
- Completes Functional Behavioral Assessment for individuals on assigned caseload
- Makes sure the interventions are working and changes plans if needed
- Helps families and other team members understand what’s happening
- Attends and participates in meetings about each person’s life plan
- Writes notes about how things are going
- Responds to important events that happen
- Becomes or keeps their job as a trainer for certain training programs
- Trains other workers on how to do behavioral services
- Participates in committees and other work groups
- Does other tasks as told by the boss
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, a clinical or treatment field of psychology, applied psychology, or school psychology; OR
- A National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master’s degree in behavior analysis, or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology; OR
- New York State license in mental health counseling;
- At least 18 years old
- Has a valid NYS Driver’s License
- Can work alone and encourage others
- Can talk and write well
- Can lift at least 50 pounds
- Maintains all required certifications/training by State regulations and CDS Monarch policy
