About the role

Behavior Intervention Specialists will be largely based in direct engagement with individuals within their current home environment and centered on data collection, observation, and coaching on appropriate supports.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on reviewing collected data and participating in collaboration meetings and indirect resource, program, and plan development
  • Responsible for the implementation of supports around clinical and behavioral support needs for the individuals we serve, including plans for individuals we support with complex care needs
  • Works collaboratively with all other disciplines to ensure all needs are met for the individuals
  • Responsible for supporting the clinical team in the development of specific support plans, and other plans and protocols as needed
  • Attend and demonstrate the Green Zone, Ukeru, and Right Response training

Position Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have experience with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities, in Supported Living, Community Protection, and/or Crisis Diversion is preferred
  • Have an Associate or Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field preferred (Behavior analysis, psychology, education or related discipline)
  • Have one year experience as a qualified Behavioral Specialist/Trainer/*Relevant license highly preferred i.e. BCaBA, RBT, etc.
  • Must be able to travel to various program locations and work flexible hours which can include evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the individuals we support
  • Proof of vehicle insurance and an acceptable driving record
  • Able to pass federal and state background checks and maintain clearance during employment
  • Ability to interface with multiple data collection systems (e.g. Therap, ALP, Microsoft Forms, etc.)

Pay

$23.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
  • Paid travel time
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • 8 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday with Weekends as Needed
  • On call
