Behavior Health Technician

About the role

The role involves providing direct care and support to children in a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, implementing behavioral interventions, and collaborating with families and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions to support child development
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (behavioral health, psychology, etc.)
• Current CPR certification
• Experience working with children in a therapeutic setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Passing background check and drug screening

Skills

• Knowledge of child development and behavior management
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
