About the role
Behavior Technicians provide direct care services to people with behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury. Duties include implementing facility wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, assisting residents in ADLs, transporting residents to appointments, and completing daily documentation.
Responsibilities
- Implements facility wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation
- Models appropriate behavior, provides positive reinforcement and corrective feedback on a daily basis
- Affords assistance in ADLs (bathing, transfers, toileting and physical assistance)
- Participates in physical, vocational and recreational activities
- Transports residents to medical appointments, vocational, recreational, educational activities in the community
- Completes all daily needed documentation (behavioral data, token exchange, shift summaries, house charts, checklists, medication administration records, and incident reports)
- Completes all housekeeping chores (laundry, vacuuming, dusting, etc.)
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain responsible driving behaviors
- Ability to lift 50lbs
