About the role
The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to work within the General Population Behavioral Health Services at Powder Ridge Correctional Facility in Baker City, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and assesses mentally ill and developmentally disabled inmates according to specific criteria.
- Conducts regular mental status examinations and suicide assessments.
- Develops and implements treatment interventions, behavior plans, and risk management plans.
- Provides crisis services and manages client case files.
- Engages in consultation and training sessions.
- Facilitates group therapy sessions.
Qualifications
- A graduate degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, art therapy, music therapy, or behavioral health science.
- A current QMHP certification.
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing and state licensure.
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and state licensure.
- A qualified Mental Health Intern, as defined in 309-019-0105(61).

Pay
The salary range for this position is $7,570 - $10,040 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with shifts that may vary, including early shifts, late shifts, and weekends.
