About the role
As a Behavior Coach at River Rock Academy, you will guide and mentor students by promoting positive decision-making, self-regulation, and social growth. You’ll provide structure and behavioral support while maintaining safety and collaboration across the school community.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, behavioral science, or related field preferred
- Experience supporting children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional challenges
- Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and crisis management techniques
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and consistent in high-stress situations
What You’ll Do
- Mentor students to develop problem-solving, self-control, and decision-making skills
- Monitor behavior, enforce expectations, and maintain student accountability
- Respond to crisis situations using approved safety and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success
- Document behavioral incidents and progress accurately and promptly
