Behavior Analyst in Training

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases (20 paid unrestricted hours/week), learning and practicing the key skills to become a high-quality BCBA.
  • Update client goals and programming, utilizing our electronic data collection platform.
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs.
  • Participate in ESDM specific trainings, growing your clinical skillset.
  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans, utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT).
  • Train and coach to be provided.
  • Meet with families to conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and support, utilizing Soar’s in-house curriculum.
  • Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments for established clients, including training on the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and the ESDM Curriculum Checklist.
  • Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs in your clinic.
  • Be a part of the Soar integrated care team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings for collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists.
  • Conduct direct client therapy (10-20 hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABAP.
  • Within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam.
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as a behavior therapist.
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning.
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy.
  • Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback.
