About the role
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to ensure optimal patient care and physician service, under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with ambulation
- Dressing and undressing patients
- Changing bed linen
- Assisting with diet
- Vital signs
- Compresses
- Preoperative and postoperative care
- Observing a patient's condition and reporting immediately any untoward signs, symptoms or unusual occurrences
- Maintaining current documentation of patient's status on treatment sheet
- Giving report to nurse
Requirements
- A high school graduate
- Previous experience preferred
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
