About the role

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
  • Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
  • Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Meet one of the following:
    • A graduate degree in a child-related field such as elementary education, nursing, or recreation from a college or university and six months of programming experience
    • An endorsement or bachelor's degree in a child-related field such as elementary education, nursing, or recreation from a college or university and one year of programming experience
    • 48 semester hours of college credit in a child-related subject or CDA or 72 quarter hours of college credit from a college or university of which 12 semester or 18 quarter hours are in a child-related subject and one year of programming experience
    • Two years of programming experience with one year in a staff supervisory capacity and at least one year of the following education backgrounds:
      • A one-year early childhood certificate from a college or university that consists of at least 30 semester hours
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • AM shift: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • PM shift: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
