Before and After School Early Learning Professional/Site Director

About the role

AlphaBEST Education is hiring a Site Director for the before and after school program at Penn Hills Elementary School, 1079 Jefferson Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. The role involves leading a meaningful before and after school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive in a fun, safe environment. Schedule is Monday through Friday with an AM shift from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and a PM shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, including schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
• Oversee and facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
• Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
• Supervise and mentor the site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
• Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success

Requirements

One of the following combinations of education and experience is required:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus 1 year of experience with children.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus 2 years of experience with children.
• An associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus 3 years of experience with children.
• An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, plus 4 years of experience with children.

Pay

$21.00 per hour.
