Before and After School Part Time Educator (Menifee)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in grades K-8. Our goal is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Maintain regular meetings with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Educator: $19 to $21 per hour (based on education, experience)
• Start date: July 21st for live training
• Schedule: 6:30-8:10 & 2:30-6:00 pm (hours may vary depending on location)

Qualifications

• Commits to inspiring a love of learning and commitment to healthy living
• Lifts up to 40 lbs
• Works well in a team environment
• Experience working with children under 13 years of age is a plus
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field preferred but not required
