About the Role

Make a difference every day by supporting students’ learning, growth, and independence. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll work closely with ESS instructors, special education teachers, and general education staff to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support for students. This is a rewarding opportunity to impact student success while working in a collaborative team environment. Wonder Zone works with Preschool students, and Kid Zone works with Elementary students.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a contributing member of the ESS and special education team.
• Support students within the ESS programs and framework.
• Provide one-to-one or shared support, adaptations, and accommodations to help students stay on-task.
• Enhance student success and independence through the implementation of Individual Education Programs (IEP) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Provide daily progress reports to ESS Instructors about student participation and behavior.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma (Associate of Arts (AA) degree preferred).
• Additional post-secondary training relevant to children, adolescents, or young adults is preferred.
• Flexibility to work in various environments, including small and large groups, one-to-one, and across multiple school settings.
• Strong communication skills with both students and adults.

Pay

$19.89 – $24.19 per hour, depending on experience.
