About the role
This position will work closely with a team of after-school aides under the supervision of the after-school program coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily curriculum activities designed to promote creativity and social and emotional development
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Prepare daily snacks and lead snack time
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields (preferred)
- Passionate about working with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- High School Diploma
- Able to commute to the Irvine area
- Able to work M-F in the afternoons (2:00pm - 6pm)
- Complete a Health Screening Report
- Provide documentation of the Measles and Pertussis vaccine and current T.B. test
- Complete and pass a Live Scan background clearance
- CPR and First Aide certification (does not need to be completed prior to the start date)
- Bilingual Mandarin Preferred
