Before & After School Group Leader

About the role

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day. We are seeking a part-time Group Leader to shape meaningful after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must have 240+ documented hours of experience working with children
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by OR childcare licensing regulations
• Must provide proof of experience as required by OR childcare licensing regulations

Qualifications

• Youth programs
• Staff supervision or team leadership
• Elementary Education college students

Skills

• Experience in teaching or classroom leadership
