Job Summary
Prepares, pours, and serves beer/wine and other related products. Maintains stock levels and product quality of food and drinks by monitoring dates, appearance, and storage temperature controls.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Adheres to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating alcohol and related goods.
- Prepares, pours, and serves alcoholic beverages, such as wine and beer by following proper guidelines and TABC protocol.
- Maintains intermediate knowledge on all beer and wine offerings and potential food pairings.
- Maintains appealing product displays and bar cleanliness according to Company standards.
- Serves hot and cold prepared food to customers while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.
- Stacks pallets and sorts products into correct locations according to Company efficiency standards and expectations.
- Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
- Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, etc.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of alcohol regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to read and operate bar equipment such as corkscrews, draft beer dispensers, etc.
- Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an ice machine, commercial glass washers, commercial ovens, etc.
- Ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes.
- Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.
- Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age required.
- Food Handler certification required.
- TABC/LACT/AATC/ABLE certification required where applicable.
- Typically involves on-the-job training.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
