About the role
The Beer Technician is responsible for maintaining and managing the brewery’s brewing equipment and processes. This includes cleaning, inspecting, and troubleshooting machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate brewery equipment including fermenters, mash tuns, and other brewing systems.
- Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Collaborate with the brewing team to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to quality control standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role or relevant field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using brewery equipment and tools.
- Good communication skills to interact with the brewing team and customers.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
Skills
- Knowledge of brewing processes and equipment.
- Basic understanding of chemistry and microbiology related to brewing.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
