BEEF IMPORTS DEMAND PLANNER ANALYST

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing demand forecasts for both Trim and Ground Beef Production.
• Work cross-functionally with various departments at Corporate Headquarters in Greeley, CO.
• Create and maintain forecast models for customers and products using data from sales, marketing, and other sources.
• Optimize warehouse plans to pair with grind mixes to maximize cost savings.
• Maintain delivery schedules at the inbound port level, ensuring loads are inspected and available when booked.
• Monitor daily inclusion performance at grind facilities to maximize inclusion pounds.
• Communicate delivery schedules to production teams to ensure frozen trim availability before production runs out.
• Track inbound frozen truck deliveries and address any discrepancies or issues between Import and plant teams.
• Publish monthly reports for KPI data collection.
• Apply the DGB (domestic ground beef) model to other domestic customers and use demand planning software and historical data to drive forecasting decisions.
• Drive P&L awareness and profitability performance in Ground Beef and Trim operations.
• Occasionally travel to facilities to better understand the business and issues faced by the teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or agriculture is strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of food production industry experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business.
• Above average Microsoft Excel skills.
• An ability to view the supply chain as a series of linked processes.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong organizational skills and acute attention to details.
• A self-motivated individual capable of working independently and asking questions as needed.
