Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain hospital beds, stretchers and related equipment
- Aid outside vendors and service personnel as needed
- Collaborate with every department in OSUMC and the Nursing Unit
- Operate drills, drill presses, saws, grinders and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Operate various medical and departmental equipment for general maintenance
- Ensure Preventive Maintenance Program work orders are completed or closed out by the end of shift
- Assist in service and repair of unfamiliar facility-related equipment
- Respond to all trouble calls and maintenance requests
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant experience required
- Prior healthcare mechanic experience preferred
