About the role

We seek compassionate, dependable mentors to inspire and empower youth ages 8–25 through meaningful one-on-one relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support through tutoring, college counseling, and resources.
  • Offer career exploration, job readiness training, and internship opportunities.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles with fitness activities, nutrition education, and mental health support.
  • Facilitate personalized mentorship and support through programs like summer feeding and holiday gifting.
  • Meet regularly with mentees, providing encouragement, accountability, and positive guidance.
  • Engage in conversations that may cover topics such as academics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, college and career exploration, STEM, mental wellness, life skills, or personal development.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willing to complete the onboarding process, including an application, interview, reference checks, and a background screening.
  • Strong communication skills, cultural humility, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Open to mentors from all professional backgrounds and life experiences.
  • No prior experience as an educator or counselor required.
