As a Beauty Sales Consultant in the beauty retail division of CVS Health, you will be the primary beauty advisor to customers, providing friendly, knowledgeable sales service and building personalized, robust baskets for each client. You will share the latest beauty trends and techniques through extensive industry knowledge and a passion for beauty.

Responsibilities

• Engage each customer entering the beauty zone, listen to their needs, and provide specialized sales advice.
• Use verbal skills to generate sales through effective upselling, suggestive selling, and follow‑up contact to build lasting relationships.
• Answer product questions in detail, act as the brand expert, and leverage the CVS beauty monthly sampling program.
• Explain product usage, benefits, and CVS Beauty Club programs; invite customers to special in‑store events and promotions.
• Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty‑specific promotional materials supporting key brands and corporate initiatives.
• Keep the beauty zone well‑stocked, well‑merchandised, and compliant with hygiene standards, including tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing.
• Complete initial 30/60/90‑day onboarding and ongoing training to keep sales, product knowledge, and selling skills current.
• Execute the established sales plan, meet the sales budget, and track progress toward goals.
• Participate in sales training meetings, conference calls, and brand launch events.
• Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company guidelines.
• Stay curious and excited about the latest beauty trends, techniques, and product knowledge.
• Perform ear‑piercing services when required (training and certification provided).

Requirements

• Sales‑oriented with the ability to use sales data and product/brand knowledge to meet goals.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Goal‑driven, able to multi‑task and work independently or as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Flexible retail schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak periods.
• Willingness and ability to perform ear‑piercing services (training provided).
• In specific CVS stores, bilingual ability in English and Spanish is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior beauty sales experience.
• Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.
• Strong passion for beauty.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and/or move throughout the store for the majority of the workday, stoop, kneel or crouch, and reach or grasp objects on lower shelves. Manual dexterity is required for tasks such as ear‑piercing.

High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Schedule

Full‑time position with an anticipated 40 weekly hours. Flexible retail schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak periods.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $17.92 – $26.92 per hour (base hourly rate or annual salary, depending on the position grade). Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
