About the Role
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports the mission of Beauty for Ashes by leading the ministry’s marketing and external communications. This role promotes Beauty for Ashes programs, events, and resources through social media, email marketing, and digital storytelling, ensuring the ministry’s message is communicated clearly and consistently. This position is ideal for someone passionate about women’s ministry who enjoys using marketing and communication skills to share the story and impact of Beauty for Ashes, helping more women, churches, and partners engage with the ministry.
Responsibilities
- Marketing & Content Strategy
- Develop and manage marketing efforts that promote Beauty for Ashes programs, retreats, and initiatives.
- Create and implement marketing strategies for ministry programs, events, and campaigns.
- Plan and maintain a marketing content calendar for social media and email communications.
- Create promotional campaigns to increase awareness and engagement.
- Design or coordinate promotional graphics and marketing materials.
- Coordinate content submissions from staff and ministry contributors.
- Social Media Management
- Manage and grow Beauty for Ashes’ presence across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms such as TikTok).
- Create, schedule, and post social media content.
- Monitor comments, messages, and engagement across platforms.
- Respond to inquiries and connect with followers and alumni.
- Track analytics and identify high-performing content.
- Adjust strategies to increase reach, engagement, and audience growth.
- Monitor trends relevant to women’s ministry and digital engagement.
- Email Marketing & Audience Communication
- Develop and maintain effective communication with ministry participants, alumni, and supporters.
- Manage the ministry’s email marketing platform and contact database.
- Maintain and organize email lists and audience segmentation.
- Create monthly newsletters and ministry updates.
- Develop email campaigns for events, programs, and giving initiatives.
- Build drip campaigns for new contacts and participants.
- Track engagement metrics such as open rates and click-through rates.
- Improve communication flow with alumni and participants.
- Storytelling & Testimony Development
- Help communicate the impact of Beauty for Ashes by sharing participant stories and ministry outcomes.
- Develop a storytelling strategy that highlights the impact of the ministry.
- Collect and coordinate written and video testimonies.
- Convert testimonies into social media posts, newsletters, ministry updates, and fundraising content.
- Create a system to archive and organize testimonials for future use.
- External Communication & Community Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for online communication with the Beauty for Ashes community.
- Manage the ministry’s primary email inbox.
- Update database after each event.
- Respond to inquiries received through email and social media platforms.
- Communicate with alumni and participants and share opportunities to stay engaged with the ministry.
- Help strengthen relationships with the Beauty for Ashes community through consistent communication.
- Create strategy to communicate with alumni and keep them involved in ministry.
