Beauty Counter Manager - Kiehl's - Somerset Collection

About the role

The Nordstrom Beauty Department aims to help customers feel their best. As a Beauty Counter Manager, you will create personalized beauty experiences, collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming environment, and maximize sales in your assigned beauty brand.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customer's beauty goals
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals, utilizing both in-store and digital selling tools (including text and social media)
• Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
• Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
• Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through provided trainings
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and encourage new Nordstrom Rewards program account openings

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, handle customer concerns, and foster a positive team environment
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
• Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in networking and technology
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative

Qualifications

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
