Beautician

Responsibilities

• Provide hair care services including shampooing, styling, cutting, permanents, color rinses, and tints based on resident preferences
• Maintain daily service records and submit required documentation to the business office
• Ensure the beauty shop remains clean, organized, attractive, and compliant with safety standards
• Properly clean, disinfect, and maintain salon equipment and supplies
• Safely store chemicals and beauty supplies in designated secured areas
• Absorb and transport residents to and from the beauty shop as needed
• Communicate with residents and families regarding beauty shop services
• Collaborate with staff to support resident satisfaction and overall well-being
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma
• Valid NYS Cosmetology License required
• 6 months of hairdressing experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to resident dignity, confidentiality, and quality service
