Beautician

About the role

We are currently accepting applications for a Beautician within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude is a must. Must enjoy working with our residents and families.

Responsibilities

• To perform direct patient care duties of shampoo, set and roll, dry, curl, color, press, perm, cut, all hair types;
• To shave;
• To perform pedicures;
• To perform manicures;
• To assist in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents;
• To write and keep records such as logs and/or schedule;
• To adhere to a self-scheduling of designated day(s).

Requirements

• Must be a licensed Beautician in good standing and meet all applicable state certification requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program.
• Completion of elementary education, ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• A positive attitude towards the elderly.
