Bearcat Opportunity Program (BOP) After School Program Site Coordinator - Various K-8 Schools

About the role

The School District of the City of York Bearcat Opportunity Program (BOP) Site Coordinator for grades 1-8 provides instruction for the after school program. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and working knowledge of various computerized office programs. Experience with program coordination, implementation, and supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement student lessons in reading/writing, mathematics, and character education in accordance with School District of the City of York’s policies and BOP After School Program goals.
• Coordinate all programming at the assigned school, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with building Administrators.
• Maintain student attendance and discipline during program hours, and lead After-School Program Teachers.
• Manage employee scheduling and absence management, communicate with building Administrators and other administrative tasks necessary to drive the program.
• Recruit students and help deliver targeted and intensive reading/writing and mathematics instruction with a structured, regular routine.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student attendance, progress, and disciplinary matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the After School Program Director.

Requirements

Required clearances: Act 34, Act 151, FBI, Act 126, Act 71 Training Certificates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education preferred.
• Working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and other computerized office programs including Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.
• Basic knowledge of publication layout and design preferred.

Schedule

Hours: 3:15pm - 5:15pm All school year, 3 days per week. Typically Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. Some weeks will vary depending on the Early Dismissal Schedule.
