About the Role
The Beach Kiosk Attendant delivers a high level of personalized service to all clients, passengers, vendors, and others. This individual will represent the Company in a professional manner, infusing the Spirit of Aloha in all interactions and applying the Standards of Service Excellence at all times.
Responsibilities
- Report to Hanauma Bay via own transportation and sign out all equipment needed using appropriate log sheets.
- Check manifests and ensure kiosk or bus location is ready to meet and greet passengers upon arrival.
- Verify guests’ wristbands for proper color and correct wear.
- Notify Dispatch when guests are ready for pickup and transport back to Waikiki.
- Return all company-issued equipment at the end of the shift.
- Attend all required training and staff meetings as directed by Management or Leads.
- Maintain a clean kiosk area, sweeping and emptying trash at the end of the shift.
- Greet all passengers at the bus location or kiosk following the Company’s Standards of Service Excellence.
- Escort guests to the entrance and inform them of Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve (HBNP) restrictions.
- Assist guests with boarding shuttles as needed.
- Provide accurate information on the Company’s services, schedules, and costs; contact appropriate parties if information is unavailable.
- Resolve customer service issues promptly and accurately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and loaders.
- Confirm destination with driver and release driver as needed.
- Know the daily schedule and obtain the next day’s schedule in advance.
- Adhere to timeliness standards to uphold the Company’s image.
- Wear the proper uniform, meeting the Company’s standards for appearance and grooming.
- Perform other duties and assignments as needed.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Must convey detailed or important spoken instructions accurately and receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Visual acuity required to perform job duties.
- Activities occur both inside and outside, subject to environmental conditions such as moving mechanical parts, vehicles, sun, heat, fumes, odors, dust, mists, and gases.
